The FILETTE source is located in Guarcino, Italy, 900 meters above sea level, and adjacent to the Apennine Mountains in the Region of Lazio. The town of Guarcino rises not far from Fiuggi and Alatri and is overlooked by Mount Campocatino. The water has a distinct absence of nitrates at 0.6 mg/liter, and a very low sodium content, 3.12 mg/liter, which makes it particularly suitable for low-sodium diets. The special organoleptic properties were described as far back as 1899 when Dr. Vittorio Davoli carried out the first scientific research which confirmed the particular features of this water. One exceptional feature and the subject of many research studies is its compact molecular cluster which contributes to its extreme lightness and pleasant taste. It is known to aid digestion and the transport of oxygen, assist with mineral absorption into the body and reduce the viscosity of the blood, in turn, improving metabolism.
