ELSENHAM Still Artesian Spring Water is rich in minerals particularly calcium, iron, low in sodium and rich in strontium, which is good for bone density. The water is decades old and bottled at source from a deep underground chalk confined aquifer, and due to its depth absolutely pure. The aquifer has remained untouched for centuries having once been under the sea, which left behind layers of protection down to this confined chalk aquifer. This has been confirmed as being a great discovery. The confined aquifer acts as a natural filter taking decades in the process resulting in the purest water you can get. This measures 300 meters thick with enormous reserves and is able to be called artesian spring water because the water comes from underground from a confined aquifer, which is a pressurized chamber. The original borehole was started in 1890 and provided the drinking water for the area and extended in 1919. This then lapsed in the 1960’s and was re-discovered with the help of geological teams with new drilling, opening up the borehole in 2000. A state of the art building has been built over the borehole, which was completed in late 2004. The production team is pictured filling from the borehole via see-through tanks to the filler and capper then on to conveyors which pass by the 'Water Café' windows. Each bottling run requires exhaustive checking, testing and tasting procedures from our production team. All batches are kept for 72 hours and laboratory testing before releasing for final packaging and checking prior to shipping. Elsenham Still Artesian Spring Water is positioning itself at the luxury premium end of the market, with a highly exclusive distribution approach. The bottle and the cap are like architecture and unique, with both having been registered with full copyright design rights. It has been designed to reflect the purity of the water and is unlike any other bottle.
