BORSEC natural mineral water is, above all, a celebration in itself. A celebration of perpetual youth, health, vitality, and unbridled energy. The springs of Borsec are located in the North-East part of Romania, in the Borsec depression, Harghita county, in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains. The Borsec spa resort is located at an altitude of 900 m, the vast coniferous forest that surrounds it ensuring a beneficial microclimate. There are more than 15 springs of natural mineral water. The group of springs is connected to the Pliocene basin of Borsec. The waters from the crystalline rocks have the possibility to circulate, to accumulate, and to mineralize, passing through the cracks of the massive crystalline rocks of Rebra, or on lithological contact surfaces. The healing qualities of Borsec springs studied since 1687 by researchers, continue today, certifying the many benefits on metabolism: diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or inflammatory diseases. The natural mineral waters of Borsec are bicarbonate, calcium, magnesium, sodium, hypotonic, non-ferrous waters, respectively with very low iron content. This diversity of natural chemical constituents gives the water special healing qualities. They have balanced mineral content, low iron content, and a high and stable concentration of natural CO2. All these characteristics position Borsec water as one of the best natural mineral waters.
